Commission Form

All of my commissions are for personal use only.
This includes:
Printing for personal use, decoration
and display (posters, gifts etc.)
Decorating online/
digital spaces (profile pictures, banners, social media,
personal sites, blogs, backgrounds) with credit.
All public uses of commissioned art should
be credited to myself as the artist.
It is prohibited to use commissioned art to:
Reprint, as is or on other merchandise, for profit/monetisation
Logos, business, commercial branding/merchandising
Proof of concept for kickstarting/crowdfunding
NFTs, AI generated art and video,
crypto-related projects or processes
Additional fees will apply if you use/intend to use commissioned art in:
A significant part of monetised content
(PNGtuber, Title/end cards)
Unless previously arranged, there is
no transfer of copyright to the client.
I retain all rights to commissioned artwork.
All artwork bears my watermark,
and no client or non-client may remove these watermarks.
I retain the right to publicly share and
use watermarked versions of the artwork
for display on portfolio sites,
unless the client has previously indicated
they would prefer otherwise.
Clients are encouraged to walk me through the sketching process
with as much detail as possible to reduce major edits along the line.
Make reference sheets, details, photos, art, written descriptions, mood,
colour, setting pose etc. many as you can.
The clearer the idea, the better I can help you bring your visions to life!
Any major edits (posing, setting etc.) may be made
during the sketching and refined sketching stages.
Major edits beyond the sketch stage will incur additional costs.
Minor edits (tweaks, clarity changes, tone/colour edits) may be
made up until completion at my discretion, but abuse
of edits/extensive amounts of edits may incur additional costs.
This process excludes promotional deals like PWYW sketches,
where no major edits can be made after work on the commission has been started.
Minor tweaks may be requested but only implemented at the discretion of the artist.
Please be mindful that I have other commitments outside commissions.
I will provide an estimated completion window to clients,
anywhere between 2 weeks to 2 months depending on commission type,
and will update clients on any changes to this window as soon as possible.
If a client is looking for a commission for a certain deadline,
I will attempt to accommodate them where possible,
but I cannot guarantee a commission can be completed on short notice.
Please contact me to discuss this.
If more than 90 days pass and a commission is not delivered
clients may request a full or partial refund.
However, if I feel that the client is purposefully exploiting this time limit,
I retain the right to discontinue or refuse their
commission altogether without refund.
My process may flex and change depending on commission style and type.
In general, the process goes as such:
1) Commission accepted via google form or other communication
2) Communication established and invoice delivered
3) Rough thumbnail sketches created
4) Client decides on 1-2 thumbnail sketches to further
5) Thumbnail sketches refined slightly
6) Client decides on final sketch
7) Deposit Payment made
8) Linework
9) Flats
10) Shading/Detailing (detail dependent on commission type)
11) Finalisation and Final Checks
12) Full Payment Made
13) Commission delivered and complete
Clients will receive progress updates throughout the entire process,
with a minimum of at least one update at each stage.
Clients may request more updates, or check in at any time.
Clients may also request for commissions to remain ‘a surprise’
and receive no updates throughout the process.
FOR PWYW SKETCHES, FULL PAYMENT IS MADE
UPON ESTABLISHMENT OF COMMUNICATION
AND ACCEPTANCE OF COMMISSION.
NO MAJOR CHANGES CAN BE MADE PAST THIS STAGE.
PLEASE DETAIL ANY REQUESTS CLEARLY
PRIOR TO THE START OF THE WORK PROCESS.
UNLESS REQUESTED, NO UPDATES WILL BE GIVEN DURING THE PROCESS.
Payment is made through KoFi.
For most commissions, a minimum of half the payment is
due after the finalisation of the sketching phase
The second half is due after finalisation of the commission.
Any promotional deals, including PWYW sketches
are paid for in full at the acceptance of the commission
and establishment of communication.
After payment has been received, clients will
receive their artwork in both .jpg and full .png formats.
I request that clients provide an email to receive these files
to prevent messaging systems from compressing them.
Any different formats requested must be discussed
at the start of the commission process.
Clients are expected to respond at reasonable intervals
when decisions need to be made or approved.
I retain the right to discontinue or refuse commissions
altogether without refund should the client
remain non-responsive for over 3 weeks.
Clients are expected to act with respect and
cooperation throughout the process.
I retain the right to refuse or discontinue commissions
at any point in the process if clients become uncooperative,
or I otherwise become uncomfortable with
the commission at any point.
